:: Glad to be Back ::
If you're wondering... plse let me put your mind at ease... I'm alive, I'm well, and I'm glad to be back! I'm taking everything in my stride, and life is back to normal... just as it was last week.

Although I have to say, the Straits this year was one I'm probably never ever going to forget! I've learned to appreciate life more... and it has opened my eyes to what's important to me, what I should live for, how I should live by... so that's something to munch on while I wait for the aftershock to lash out at me... I'm surprisingly calm now... have been so since day 1 (or day 4, as the case may be...), which, as Alasdair put it... is kinda scary... does this mean that when the whole impact of what happened hit me, it'll be ten times worse? Only time will tell, I guess...

From the bottom of my heart... I'd like to thank everyone in the search and rescue operation... all aboard Shoon Fung Too, Ferret, Ken, Mark, Thye and the many others whom I haven't met... people at the control centre at CSC, and everyone crossing their fingers at the Changi bar, not touching a sip of the golden brew till good news rang through... not forgetting Alasdair who took a swig of said golden brew each time he prayed... I am eternally thankful to have all of you in my life.

To my crew on board the Temptest - Meng Tze, Jeremy, Lilin... thanks for hanging on to your wits, and doing the right thing... to the demise of my trusty GPS and Meng Tze's phone... farewell to the grubby old tiller of Temptest, and hello to the lovely new teak wood one...

And lastly... to all on board the RSS Independence! Three cheers to y'all, mates! I owe my life to you... you'll stay in my prayers for a long time... also to my bosses Andrew, Capt, and GM... thanks for all your concern... and for calling Commodore and Maj David for help with the SAR operation...

And to James Lim - thanks for forcing me to talk it all out, making me to face it head on...

For everything, I thank you all.
