:: Oh, yes... ::
Oh, yes...

Did I also mention that I bought 6 pairs of shoes?? *blink* That's right! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That's S-I-X. *big grin*

Thank you for your ardent attention so far. You've just found out the latest number to join the big family called 'Lynette's Fetish', and you've also found out that I can indeed count to six! How's that for a freebie? Hahaha...

I'm just messin' ard, taking a bit of time out from work... still in the office... working... *sigh* no rest for the wicked!

On another note, my best bud just turned 21, too.. wow! Everyone's reaching that age... they're all either turning 21, or they're getting married!!! *rolls eyes* It's like the latest IN thing now... heh... everyone's doing it... so if you're above the big 2-1(and NO, lying abt yr age doesn't count), then its high time to get hitched, and walk down the aisle!! =P

Ignore me, I'm in a mood...

:: Travelblog - Day 2 ::
Day 2
We woke up, rearing to go! Today was suppose to be the practice race, where we wld meet our competitors for the first time, and see where we stood. After another hearty brunch (
why can't we ever wake up in time to hv breakfast?) of homecooked thai food, we hitched a ride to our anchored boat and set abt rigging her up! Far off in the distance, we saw a few of the other Platus already sailing around the bay, and we thought we were early! =P

The Thais were buzzing ard busily, ferrying sailors all over the place, trying to find thier boats. We could feel the anticipation mounting. So who would hv expected that the practice race would have been cancelled? Not I, that's for sure. Can you imagine the disappointment? Grrrr... so once again, we just sailed around the bay, trying to identify the various islands that would mark the route for our passage race the next day.

Later in the noon, a few more boats came out to play, so we had a bit of fun covering each other. Same old thing, nothing much to cover, and then it was off for dinner with Capt Awoot.

Believe it or not, the dinner took 5 HOURS!!! No Bluff!!! We at the restaurent till past 12! heh... I've been told that Thai dinners usually last that long...

That wraps up day 2 of the Coronation Cup. Hv to say though... the food there is GOOD!!! *drools* Personal faves include the gai jiao moo sap (omelette with minced pork) and tok man kung (fried shrimp cake). Talk abt YUM! hahaha... had that omelette thingy almost everyday!!! for breakfast, lunch, dinner... =P

next update coming up soon...
:: Travelblog - All In One! ::
hey kids! I'M HOME!!! yes sireee.... back from bangkok and shopping and sailing! =P actually got back last night, but after unpacking the suitcase, and sorting out the presents, and repacking my bag for work, i was just too tired to do anything else but plonk into bed to catch up on the much needed Zzzzz's....

so anyway, travelblog. cldn't get a connection at all, save for the dial-up connection at the YRAT Office (this is the sailing association of thailand, which i dubbed as the Cyber Cafe!), so didn't update, or even check my mail throughout the trip!

Day 1
the flight in was pretty good. watched 'Maid in Manhatten' on KrisWorld, but cldn't finish it though. No big loss. We managed to clear customs pretty quickly, and the health checks were done with amazing efficiency. thank goodness there wasn't that 12 hr quarentine rumour that i heard. phew!

some guy called ben picked us up at the airport, and thus began the long drive to Sattahip, Chonburi. Met up with Navee at the county pub, and had a late supper/early breakfast (it was 1am!!!), we adjoured to the hotel room, where Navee, Col Meta and Tang continued to induce alcohol till 4.30am, while the rest of us slept!

got up bright and early the next morning, and after a delicious brunch of thai homecooked dishes, we got onto Platu 131, our lovely lady for the duration of the race. i have to say though, it sure was a good idea to get into Sattahip a day earlier, coz we took a good half day to figure out which sheet went into which cleat, and what was for what! Pretty good for a crew that has nvr sailed a Platu before... got in an hour of sailing, and hositing of the kite, and we were ready to anchor the boat... pretty good for a pre-practice race tryout! =P

anyhoo... super tired now... so i'm gonna head to bed... will update on travelblog tmr!

a little on today... had dinner with mom. then went shopping after... hahaha... she bought 4 pairs of shoes!!! influence of yours truely... *grin* she's nvr done that before!! 4 pairs in one go!! you go, mom!!

so, yea... i'm off to bed... and i'll leave you with a quote from my mom...

"Since we're both still getting salaries, let's help contribute to the economy tonight."
