well, i'm just sitting in bed after an episode of CSI: Miami, and mindlessly surfing the net, listening to this great bosa nova cd, when i thought i might as well put up a post here... but seeing as i haven't been doing this for the longest time, and if i really wanted to get into the thick of things, i'd be at this all night!!! so... to make things a little simpler and more interesting... i thought i'd do a series of random thoughts... let's see if this works...:
On Nails...: broke'em... right down to the flesh on the middle finger of my right hand... and the one on my toe is totally ripped off!! thank god for Yoyo (my manicurist) and her amazing skills with nail tips... my toes don't look all that bad now... in fact, they look better than usual, coz if you've seen my toes... you'll know they look pretty weird and ugly... i'm letting the finger one grow out..
On Chocolates...: my client came into the office on monday bearing gifts - a whole bag of chocolates!! i wonder where he got the impression that i was such a chocolate monster ( i definately did not tell him so...)!!! spoils for the day... a huge block of toblerone weighing in at 750g (which was shared amongst the whole office - twice - with plenty left to spare!)! another smaller 400g block of toblerone in dark chocolate (yums!) and a big box of rochers... gawd!!! rochers are all gone, butthe rest are still there, so if you find that you hv a chocolate craving... you know who to call for the next week or so... (me, me, me!!!)
On Work...: well, all seems quiet on that front... with merve gone (he left the last day of sept), work has literally been quiet... noone to sprout useless bits of information... or crack a joke with... but i'm so happy for him coz he's found this amazing job (okay - technically he hasn't officially started yet, but he's joined a traders' office, so he is an officially a principle... so that in itself is amazing already...) we brokers are like at the lowest rung of the chartering ladder, and now he's risen to somewhere higher... haha.. good on ya!!!
On a Social Life...: this one is easy... i have none to speak of!! i wake up, i go to work, i go home, i sleep... repeat cycle the next day... i know, sad.
On Self Torture...: i'm a pro at this!! i just finished exams for the semester, and stupidly signed up to do the summer course as well!! what this means is that i start the summer semester next week... and slave away at the books (again!) till feb where i sit for another set of exams... only to start my fall semester right after!! my. life. is. perfect. *groans*
On Having a Place of My Own...: been toying with the idea of getting a place of my own for a while now - 'toying' bring the operative word here... and just looking around at what is available, and
this one is so very tempting.... i've always wanted a studio apartment, and had very nearly given up hopes on finding one as there are so few of them - nice ones - in Singapore... but this one has it... and it's beau-ti-foooooo!!! but i'm just thinking only lar... thinking only...
On Catching Up with Old Friends...:in the time of writing this up, have made plans to catch up with an old pal frm school this thursday... it's been ages since Wei and i met up... so this one is definately gonna be a blast!
**it's just started raining outside... with thunder and lightning and the works! it's gonna be a great night to sleep, and very difficult to wake up tomorrow...**
On Holiday Plans...: with the amount of leave i still have, of which i can only carry forward till june next year... i'm planning 2 weeks in aussie the first half of the year (and still have about 8 days left to spare)... and the big europe one the second half... london, paris, and either greece or rome... *shivers with excitement*
On Plans for Tomorrow...: back to work as usual... but market is fairly quiet, with the Indians and the Muslims away for their holidays... then dinner at the yummylicious cambodian steamboat place along Joo Chiat Place with friends (Dia, Lynn, Nico, Hannes, Starwbie [?]).... YUM! and for desert, see above thought on dark toblerone chocolates... ooohhh... we're in for a treat!
aaahhhh well.... long enough... and i'm tired... plus i can't think of other randoms... so g'night!
