:: Dimbúlah - Keeps Me Alive ::

it's this new coffee that's i've tried frm the chic lill' stand where my new office is (for the ignorent, it's Temasek Towers in Shenton Way), called Dimbúlah - Fine New World Coffee. the Latte is totally yummylicious, and it's just shiok!! Forget that new year resolution of cuttingn down to a cuppa a day... this one is too good to give up!!

Why is it so good?? hmmm... perhaps this wld be the answer.... quoted from the back from the back of the cup...

Life is too short to drink bad coffee (this is sooooooo TRUE!!) so we did something about it. We developed our own coffee plantation in tropical north Queensland, Australia.

Dimbúlah Mountain Estate is nestled in the midst of this perfect environment enjoying growing conditions unequalled anywhere.

We selected our plants from the very finest arabicas, and combined ecologically friendly plantation practice with modern technology. The result is a consistently outstanding coffee - mild, with a rich, sweet body, and low acidity.

(Now this is the good part!)

This Fine New World Coffee is graded on the estate to a quality seldom attained. It is roasted to perfection to our Estate Signature Roast, and served to you according to our 90:30:30 rule. Less than 90 days out of plantation, less than 30 hours from roasting, and less than 30 seconds from grinder to cup. That's how seriously passionate we are about good coffee. (and i salute you all for that!!)

Dimbúlah Mountain Estate, from plantation to cup. No other coffee comes close. (i sooooo totally agree!)

::Tsunami? Yea... No shit... ::

Well... first post of the new year... didn't mean to disappear for so long... and my first post was going to be about something fun... maybe abt this new coffee place that i've found... which serves up such a heady brew, one is enough to sustain you for the whole dat (update: this will be the next post!)

but i just had to share this with you... with the tragedy that has just struck... it's just so heart warming to see everyone pitching in to help... for one thing, i had previously sent out a mass msg to everyone in the office to donate some old clothing and the likes... and was plesantly surprised to see the amount that came in... also, we're forgoing the 'show off' party (we just shifted our office premises, and were planning to throw a nice do to show of the new place) and donating the budget set aside for that to the Red Cross... plus personal donations... some were even planning to fly up for a weekend or so to volunteer as relief workers... i know my friend John is abt to fly to Aceh soon just for that... hmmm... what have you done for the tsunami relief?? not that i'm pressuring you or anything.... just interested to know...

and with all this compassion shown, the human race nvr fails to amaze me with the stupidity that some of the lesser minds have... i chanced on the blog of an american jackass.... and found this, which had me laughing at him for a minute, then pitying him... read the full version, complete with comments here.

Exerpt:

So apparently a Tsunami hit somewhere in Asia. I'm not really sure where it hit because to be honest I just don't care!! I think it's funny that everyone is now rushing out and sending money to these people. If this shit happened here would any of these other fucking countries come to our aid? HELL NO!! Most of these countries would probably laugh at us!! So why should I care about these people?

To tell you the truth I think these stupid people got what they deserved. Apparently for 30-45 minutes the ocean disappeared and no one thought it was strange!! People on the beach stood there and looked at all the fish that could be seen!! If I'm on a beach somewhere and the Ocean disappears my fat ass is running!! Are you fucking serious? That shit ain't normal!! RUN PEOPLE RUN!!! In 30-45 minutes I could get from my house to outside Philly!! I could get from my house to past Cherry Hill!! The other problem I have with this whole thing is that from every picture I have seen on the news the places that got hit didn't look all that nice. They sure as hell didn't look clean so you know what they got a free wash out of it! Don't bitch!!

If anything this Tsunami proved there are too many people out there that can't swim!! WHO CAN'T SWIM!!! It's 2005 now people put on some swimmies and learn to swim!! If not come on learn to float!!

Send them money if you want!!

The Ocean disappears and you don't run?!! RUN PEOPLE RUN!!!Look at it this way at least no hot girls died!!
